A Little Bit About Me
Although this is my second attempt at blogging, many of you might be delving into my world of education, sports, and randomness for the first time, so allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kevin Sickle and I am a teacher in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District in Wilkes-Barre, PA. I teach at my alma mater, Heights-Murray Elementary School, and have done so for nine years now. Currently, my position is fifth-grade math, science, and social studies, but I have also taught reading and spelling in previous positions. Technology is a passion of mine, so perhaps teaching students what I enjoy is in my future.
As for the sports aspect, baseball is far and away my favorite sport. My favorite team is the Oakland Athletics - odd, being an eastern guy and all, but the great teams of the late 80's and early 90's had a big influence on me as young fella. I have plans to visit all 30 Major League ballparks before I turn 40. I've only been to 12 currently, but Coors Field in Denver will be checked off shortly, and I have big plans for summer vacations between now and the time all 30 parks have been visited.
Although baseball is easily my favorite, I enjoy most sports, so any major sporting event, team, or player is eligible for discussion.

Anyone who knows me more than as a casual acquaintance can tell you that I can be weird. Weird to me is not an insult, but rather just another way of saying "unique." I can be very random and sporadic, but all with a purpose, even if it is only to amuse myself.
